2203 ECONOMICS (Non-Thesis)

GENERAL INFORMATION
Program provides grilling the economic fundamentals of different problems by using statistical and econometric methods and developing the ability of students to evaluate economic events, to comment and to form the economic policies

Objective
Program aims getting the ability to the students will work in public and private sector instutions as specialist that wanted at subjects of economy policies and economic analysis.Program aims the obtaining, commentting and evaluating of knowledge .


Admission Requirements
First cycle degree, acceptable score on centralized graduate entrance exam, placement through local oral/written exam and certificate of English proficiency

Graduation Requirements
In order to gain the degree, the student is required to have minimum 60 ECTS credits lectures (from the graduate course programme) and successfully completed them. Then, the student should prepare a thesis after caring out a research on a topic supervised by a senior lecturer. On a successful submission of thesis, student is required to give a successful oral examination on his/her work.

Career Opportunties
The students graduated from the department of economics with the appellation of "specialist" and "doctor", by gaining a number of qualitative instruments and analytic thinking skills have employment opportunities at academic institutions as well as the institutions in which these instruments are used more intensely such as DPT, HAZİNE, TÜİK, T.C. MERKEZ BANKASI. In addition they have the opportunity to work as a specialist in the economic research department of various formal or informal institutions. Upon a successful completion of the programme, student may continue with doctoral study in the same or similar scientific areas, which may accept students from the science of Economics.

Recognition of previous structured lectures in Turkish Higher Education Institutions, transitions in vertical, horizontal and university are realized within the scope of the "Higher Education Regulations", "REGULATION BETWEEN THE BACHELORS AND GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS, ON HIGHER EDUCATION AND TRANSITION BETWEEN DOUBLE MAJOR DALL, SIDE DALL AND CREDIT TRANSFER STANDARDS
