653 URBAN AND REGIONAL PLANNING

GENERAL INFORMATION
The objective of the undergraduate program of city and regional planning is based on a number of academic interest areas; planning, design and policy, socio-economic, cultural, physical/spatial, and institutional problems of both built and natural environments, protecting the assets of cultural and natural heritage, social justice, public interest, aesthetic values and functionality and also, analytical thinking skill.

Objective
As consistent with the European Higher Education Qualification Framework, our educational mission is to train creative and innovative students of spatial planning which can develop rational solutions for actual planning problems, which can utilize the scientific knowledge for implementation projects and which can take an active role in the interdisciplinary projects of spatial planning.


Admission Requirements
The program of City and regional Planning admits students by LYS (Undergraduate Placement Exam)and quantitative point of MF-4 (Mathematical and Science 4).

Graduation Requirements
To complete 240 ECTS credits of undergraduate curricula (compulsory and elective courses and summer practices) and to have the graduate grade point average expressed in the Education and Training Regulation for Undergraduate Studies at Pamukkale University.

The professional fields for graduates include a wide range of institutions from public sector to private sector: Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning; Ministry of Transportation; Maritime Affairs and Communication; Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock; Ministry of Forestry and Water Affairs; Ministry of Culture and Tourism; Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology; Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKİ); General Directorate of Provincial Bank (İLBANK), General Directorate of Highways; General Directorate of Natural and Cultural Heritage; Municipalities; Governorates; Universities; Research and Development Institutions; urban and regional planning, urban design and architecture companies; building departments of holding companies; real estate appraisal companies, banks and other financial institutions.

Türkiye’deki Yükseköğretim kurumlarından Pamukkale Üniversitesine yatay geçiş yapmak isteyen öğrenciler için “Yükseköğretim Kurumlarında Ön Lisans ve Lisans Düzeyindeki Programlar Arasında Geçiş, Çift Anadal, Yandal ile Kurumlararası Kredi Transferi Yapılması Esaslarına İlişkin Yönetmelik” hükümleri esas alınarak intibak işlemleri uygulanır.

DebateDepending on the situation, debate is a tool that allows all students, or a specific portion of the class to participate in the lesson. In this method, members of the group discuss a topic by addressing the various points of view and discuss alternative opinions about problem-solving.
