113 ELEMENTARY EDUCATION

GENERAL INFORMATION
It started its activities as a classroom teacher for Denizli Girls' Teachers' School and further Denizli Education School, in 1992 as a completed department of Pamukkale University. In the 1998-1999 academic year, with the restructuring of education, the classroom teaching program can continue to serve as a department. Within the scope of the classroom teaching department, five doctoral lecturers, six caregivers and one caregiver work. Educational practices continue with a total of 310 students, 217 girls and 93 boys, in the 2021-2022 academic year in the classroom teaching department. In the program; It is compulsory participation within the scope of the "Classroom Teaching Undergraduate Program" renewed by YÖK in 2018, and there is a component in choosing educational knowledge elective and general culture elective courses.

Objective
TThe aim of the program is to provide pre-service classroom teachers with behaviors and habits that will enable them to gain contemporary curriculum approaches and to train teachers who are committed to Atatürk's principles and reforms.


Admission Requirements
To be successful in the university entrance exam (Higher Education Institutions Exam) conducted by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

Graduation Requirements
Licence Degree to take conditions, the distribution specified in the program (44) which includes compulsory lessons specified in the program loan and (16) elective courses in the area240 AKTS to complete and fulfill other requirements.

Career Opportunties
Graduates of the department of Primary Education, public and private primary schools connected to the National Education, to serve as classroom teachers have the scientific knowledge and skill enhancement. Work as classroom teachers in these institutions.

Recognition of Prior Learning
For students who want to transfer from higher education institutions in Turkey to Pamukkale University, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" are applied. The common compulsory foreign language courses exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester on the date specified in the academic calendar. No make-up exam is allowed for this exam. Students of faculties/vocational schools/schools who do not have a preparatory program take the joint compulsory foreign language exemption exam. Students who will take the exemption exam apply to the relevant unit within the period specified in the academic calendar. Also; Students who enroll in departments with foreign language preparatory programs for the first time take a placement and proficiency exam before the academic year starts. Students are placed in one of the beginner, intermediate-lower level or intermediate level groups according to the scores they get in this exam, or those who have proficiency points are exempted from preparatory education. The score ranges of these groups are determined by the School Directorate. Exam results are announced in relevant places and on the website of the School of Foreign Languages. Among the students who are enrolled in the departments/programs accepted to the compulsory preparatory education, those who do not take the level determination and proficiency exam start their education at the beginning level.

Access to Further Studies
