GENERAL INFORMATION
Department of Geography; It started its educational activities with 40 students in the 2014-2015 academic year, and gave its first graduates in 2018. As of the end of 2018, a total of 7 teaching staff, including 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professor, 3 Doctoral Faculty Members and 2 Research Assistants, are working in the Department of Geography. The number of quotas increased to 60 people in 2017 and currently accepts 60 students.

Objective
Geography educates graduates who can scientifically approach and analyze problems related to human and natural environment, produce research and projects related to problems, and propose solutions.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE: To get the necessary points to be made from the respective areas of the exam OSYM

Graduation Requirements
Students section inside and outside the department in addition to the 136 credits of course they collect, from a total of 152 credits (240 ECTS) are required to take 16 credits of common compulsory courses to be successful.

Career Opportunties
Our graduates work outside of the rich opportunities offered by the private sector in doing business in Turkey related public institutions and organizations in various research institutions, universities will be able to work as a specialist areas. Graduates; secondary education programs in the formal education institution fulfilling the pedagogical conditions will have the right to teach geography.

Recognition of Prior Learning
For students who want to transfer from higher education institutions in Turkey to Pamukkale University, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" are applied. The common compulsory foreign language courses exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester on the date specified in the academic calendar. No make-up exam is allowed for this exam. Students of faculties/vocational schools/schools who do not have a preparatory program take the joint compulsory foreign language exemption exam. Students who will take the exemption exam apply to the relevant unit within the period specified in the academic calendar. Also; Students who enroll for the first time in departments with foreign language preparatory programs take a placement and proficiency exam before the academic year starts. Students are placed in one of the beginner, intermediate-lower or intermediate level groups according to the scores they get in this exam, or those who have proficiency points are exempted from preparatory education. The score ranges of these groups are determined by the School Directorate. Exam results are announced in relevant places and on the website of the School of Foreign Languages. Among the students who are enrolled in the departments/programs accepted to the compulsory preparatory education, those who do not take the level determination and proficiency exam start their education at the beginning level.

Access to Further Studies
Candidates who have successfully completed their undergraduate studies can study in post-graduate programs provided that they receive valid grades from ALES and have sufficient knowledge of English.
