GENERAL INFORMATION
Child development; informing children and young people about the age level at which the necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors will be acquired, supporting all developmental areas of the child (physical, psycho-motor, cognitive, personality, language, social and emotional), plan, implement, have knowledge about child health and diseases and child psychology, drama, game activities and it is a program that tries to raise individuals who are open to development continuously.

Objective
The aim of this program is to train students at the end of the two-year associate degree period in pre-school education and special education institutions, children's clinics of hospitals, as well as to train them in music, painting, drama, gymnastics, in addition to training for all their development.


Admission Requirements
Students are accepted to the Child Development Program according to the TYT score type of the Higher Education Institutions Exam conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

Graduation Requirements
Ranking is made on the basis of the general averages of the students who graduated in the spring semester. Students who take the first three places in each program graduate with the titles of the first, second, and third place in the program. These titles are shown in the student's grade sheets and a document is given. Those with an academic average between 3.50 and 3.75 graduate as honor students, and those with 3.75 and above as high honor students, this situation is shown in the student's grade charts and a document is given.

Career Opportunties
-As a kindergarten teacher or master trainer in MEB or private pre-school education institutions, As a caregiver in Maternal and Child Health Centers, inpatient institutions and Social Services Child Protection Institutions, In special education and rehabilitation centers, for disabled children to gain daily life skills and to strengthen their development areas, In special education schools, In the children's departments of hospitals, in order to guide the education of sick children, to ensure the continuity of their daily life skills, to help them get away from the psychology of the patient, They can work as television and radio children's program producers, consultants in preparing children's books.

Recognition of Prior Learning
For students who want to transfer from higher education institutions in Turkey to Pamukkale University, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" are applied. The common compulsory foreign language courses exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester on the date specified in the academic calendar. No make-up exam is allowed for this exam. Students of faculties/vocational schools/schools who do not have a preparatory program take the joint compulsory foreign language exemption exam. Students who will take the exemption exam apply to the relevant unit within the period specified in the academic calendar. In addition, the student is given the right to exemption from the courses that are accepted as equivalent to the courses taken during the previous associate and undergraduate education. In the transcript, the courses that the student should take from the program he/she is enrolled in are determined by considering the credits of these courses.

Access to Further Studies
Graduates have the right to transfer to the 3rd class of Anadolu University, Open Education Faculty, without an exam. In addition If they are successful in the DGS exam, they have the opportunity to continue the following their undergraduate programs in formal education. - Pre-school teaching - Special Education Teaching - Social services - Child Development - Healthcare Management
