783 ORGANIC AGRICULTURE

GENERAL INFORMATION
In the academic year 2012-2013, Pamukkale University started to provide training in Tavas. He is still continuing his education in Tavas Vocational School of Plant and Animal Production.

Objective
The aim of the program is to educate the students working in the field of organic agriculture. Graduated students can work as intermediate members in public and private sectors.


Admission Requirements
Pamukkale University Tavas Vocational School Organic Agriculture Program; In the result of the exam made by the Higher Education Council Measurement Selection and Placement Center, students who have enough points in TYT point type and have special conditions are taken. Programs are also accepted as students through horizontal transfer. These transitions are regulated by a directive and students can switch between diploma programs of different higher education institutions or diploma programs within the same higher education institution only within the previously announced number and transition conditions.

Graduation Requirements
These courses have been completed by writing in the lesson plans of the associate degree department / programs they are enrolled in. Pamukkale University Associate Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Education and Examination Regulations, such as internship and graduation project, students who have successfully completed their studies are considered to have completed university education.

• Public institutions and organizations: Provincial and District Directorates of Food, Agriculture and Livestock, Research Institutes and Municipalities. • Agricultural Cooperatives: Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, Agricultural Sales Cooperatives and Agricultural Development Cooperatives. • Private Sector Operations: Organic agricultural (herbal and animal) production and marketing operations and sustainable agriculture (organic agriculture and good agricultural practices) control and certification bodies. • Own businesses: Organic agricultural (plant and animal) production and marketing operations.

Recognition of Prior Learning
For students who want to transfer from higher education institutions in Turkey to Pamukkale University, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" are applied. The common compulsory foreign language courses exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester on the date specified in the academic calendar. No make-up exam is allowed for this exam. Students of faculties/vocational schools/schools who do not have a preparatory program take the joint compulsory foreign language exemption exam. Students who will take the exemption exam apply to the relevant unit within the period specified in the academic calendar. Also; Students who enroll in departments with foreign language preparatory programs for the first time take a placement and proficiency exam before the academic year starts. Students are placed in one of the beginner, intermediate-lower level or intermediate level groups according to the scores they get in this exam, or those who have proficiency points are exempted from preparatory education. The score ranges of these groups are determined by the School Directorate. Exam results are announced in relevant places and on the website of the School of Foreign Languages. Among the students who are enrolled in the departments/programs accepted to the compulsory preparatory education, those who do not take the level determination and proficiency exam start their education at the beginning level.

Without examination the graduates of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty have the right to migrate 3.sınıfına. In addition, DGS, if they are successful in the graduate program of formal education there are opportunities to continue.

8Preservation techniques and marketing of organic products, the rules to be followed in stages of learning, the processing of organic products, labeling, storage, transportation, learning stages.
9Accreditation, inspection and certification of learning the concepts and principles of the control and certification system features.
10Production of organic agricultural products in the world and in Turkey, problems and solutions.
11Recognizing general properties of organisms in plants and animals kingdom, understanding the functions and features of cell organelles
12Good to know the rules to be followed for the establishment of a vineyard, understanding needs to be done to ensure efficiency and continuity after occurring the vineyard
13Understanding control methods by learning pests and diseases of vineyard; doing annually care program to get good and healthy yield from vineyard
14Learning how vegetable production is done in greenhouse and low plastic tunnels
15Learning accreditation, inspection and certification concepts and properties and principles of inspection and certification system
16Learning the necessary rules regarding organic animal husbandry
17Learning of Ataturk's principles and revolutions

TEACHING & LEARNING METHODS

LecturingLecturing is one of the methods that come first, where the teacher is in the center. It is a method where the teacher actively describes topics and the students are passive listeners. With this method, lesson proceeds in the form of report, description and explanation.
DebateDepending on the situation, debate is a tool that allows all students, or a specific portion of the class to participate in the lesson. In this method, members of the group discuss a topic by addressing the various points of view and discuss alternative opinions about problem-solving.
DemonstrationIn this method the teacher demonstrates, an experiment, test, in front of the class. And then assists students to do so too. Students learn not only by just by looking and watching, but also by taking part and participating. This method is usually applied when teaching skills.

Cooperative LearningCooperative Learning is; a kind of learning that is based on the students working together for a common purpose. Children with different skills come together in heterogeneous groups to learn by helping each other. Students gain experiences such as becoming aware of the unity
PerformanceIn this method, the teacher performs activities such as experiments and demonstrations in front of the class, students try to learn by looking and watching. This method is usually applied where there are limited facilities and in dealing with dangerous experimental situations.
