701 SHOE DESIGN AND PRODUCTION

GENERAL INFORMATION
Pamukkale University, Acıpayam Vocational School, Textile, Clothing, Shoes and Leather Department, Shoe Design and Production Program was opened on 31.05.2022. It has a young, dynamic and competent academic staff consisting of 3 lecturers. Shoe Design and Production program is an associate degree program that provides 2-year education. The program includes theoretical and applied courses suitable for the field. There are workshops for lessons. The language of the program is Turkish and the general quota is 30.

Objective
Shoe design and production is a multi-disciplinary field of study that requires knowledge, skills and experience for its production as well as ease of access to raw materials. It is seen as a very important potential area for the development of vocational education in Turkey. The purpose of the program; To train technicians who can adapt to the technological developments in the field of shoe design and production, have the ability to solve the problems related to their field, plan and implement the design development, production and application stages, and gain scientific, artistic and technical knowledge.


Admission Requirements
Students who graduate from high school and get enough points from the exam administered by the Student Selection and Placement Center and are centrally placed are accepted.

Graduation Requirements
Students are obliged not to get a failing grade from the compulsory and elective courses in their curriculum, to complete their internships and to provide the academic average specified in the Pamukkale University associate degree regulations.

Career Opportunties
Graduates can work as designers, modelers, production and quality specialists in footwear. They can also work as designers and production managers in the workshops of brands that design special shoes and in their own personal workshops.

Recognition of Prior Learning
For students who want to transfer from higher education institutions in Turkey to Pamukkale University, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" are applied. The common compulsory foreign language courses exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester on the date specified in the academic calendar. No make-up exam is allowed for this exam. Students of faculties/vocational schools/schools who do not have a preparatory program take the joint compulsory foreign language exemption exam. Students who will take the exemption exam apply to the relevant unit within the period specified in the academic calendar. Also; Students who enroll in departments with foreign language preparatory programs for the first time take a placement and proficiency exam before the academic year starts. Students are placed in one of the beginner, intermediate-lower level or intermediate level groups according to the scores they get in this exam, or those who have proficiency points are exempted from preparatory education. The score ranges of these groups are determined by the School Directorate. Exam results are announced in relevant places and on the website of the School of Foreign Languages. Among the students who are enrolled in the departments/programs accepted to the compulsory preparatory education, those who do not take the level determination and proficiency exam start their education at the beginning level.

Access to Further Studies
Without examination the graduates of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty have the right to migrate 3.sınıfına. In addition, DGS, if they are successful in the graduate program of formal education there are opportunities to continue.
