357 MEDICAL LABORATORY TECHNIQUES

GENERAL INFORMATION
Program was started in 1996 to get students.

Objective
Program aims to train "Medical Laboratory Technicians" who can provide accurate, reliable results by performing medical analyzes in health institutions, are educated and knowledgeable, respectful to human health and ethical values, and have advanced research and communication skills.


Admission Requirements
Have to gain necesarry numeric score from the student sellection exam made by OSYM presidency

Graduation Requirements
Students enrolled at Pamukkale University in the academic year of 2018-2019 should complete at least 2.25 academic averages and 120 ECTS. Students who are enrolled at Pamukkale University before 2018-2019 academic year and who take courses from the program must complete at least 2.30 academic averages and 120 ECTS.

Career Opportunties
Graduates can work in the simple service laboratory and supervised service laboratory within the public, private, military, university and other public institutions and organizations, in the comprehensive service laboratory, in the training service laboratory and in the test laboratory of reference laboratories.

Recognition of Prior Learning
For students who want to transfer from higher education institutions in Turkey to Pamukkale University, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" are applied. The common compulsory foreign language courses exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester on the date specified in the academic calendar. No make-up exam is allowed for this exam. Students of faculties/vocational schools/schools who do not have a preparatory program take the joint compulsory foreign language exemption exam. Students who will take the exemption exam apply to the relevant unit within the period specified in the academic calendar. Also; Students who enroll in departments with foreign language preparatory programs for the first time take a placement and proficiency exam before the academic year starts. Students are placed in one of the beginner, intermediate-lower level or intermediate level groups according to the scores they get in this exam, or those who have proficiency points are exempted from preparatory education. The score ranges of these groups are determined by the School Directorate. Exam results are announced in relevant places and on the website of the School of Foreign Languages. Among the students who are enrolled in the departments/programs accepted to the compulsory preparatory education, those who do not take the level determination and proficiency exam start their education at the beginning level.

Access to Further Studies
DGS, if they are successful in the graduate program of formal education there are opportunities to continue. Undergraduate completion training is given in related fields other than midwifery and nursing programs to be determined by the Council of Higher Education. These trainings can be given by distance education methods in the fields to be determined by the Council of Higher Education. The Ministry of Health and the Council of Higher Education cooperate for practical training. The procedures and principles of these trainings are determined by the Council of Higher Education.” has a provision. Candidates who graduated from health associate degree programs before 19.11.2014 can apply to the 2021 Health Undergraduate Completion Program. The Ministry of Health and the Council of Higher Education cooperate for practical training. Application and preference procedures for the Health Undergraduate Completion Program are made through the official website of the Council of Higher Education, through e-Government, between August and September. TEACHING & LEARNING METHODS
