This course is aimed to introduce graduate student how to use soil mechanics principles in engineering projects.
Course Content
Physical properties of soils. Soil exploration; boring, sampling, testing. Hydraulic and mechanical properties of soil. Settlement, earth pressure. Ground improvement. Foundation and stability of slopes.
