Course Content We will be studying the following issues: fact and value, structure of values, what does constitutes values? Virtue or value is not something that can be defined; pleasure is value, choice or wanting, approaches to ethics. Historically dominant views will be discussed. These include the views of Aristotle, Socrates and post-Socratic schools, Kant, Mill, and perhaps Nietzsche.
