Course Objective The aim of this course is to introduce analytic philosophy, its historical development, basic features, philosophers and their thoughts in analytic philosophy.
Course Content In this course, the definition and historical development of analytic philosophy, the basic features of analytic philosophy, the linguistic theories of philosophers such as Gottlob Frege, Bertrand Russell, Ludwig Wittgenstein, Rudolf Carnap, J. L. Austin, as well as the logical positivist attitude and the features of this way of thinking will be discussed.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Learns the features and historical development of analytical philosophy.
2Gains knowledge about language theories put forward by the main representatives of analytical philosophy.
3Understands the logical positivist attitude that stands out in analytical philosophy and the features of this understanding.
4By getting information about the views advocated by the philosophers of the Enlightenment, they can realize the differences and similarities between these views.
