Course Objective This course aims to examine dualities and oppositions, which are the subject of sociology, with a multidimensional perspective.
Course Content Some of the dichotomies that will be covered in the course are: integrity and conflict between being an individual and being in society; societies, or groups of people in general, define themselves and their opposites; conflicts between the individual and the group, nature and culture, nation and state, unity and separation, protection of individual existence and moral obligation. The course does not just focus on doing sociological research. It is also aimed to develop basic competencies in terms of understanding what sociological research means. Thus, it is aimed to develop the sociological thinking ability, which is necessary in all branches of science, in religious science researchers.
