Course Objective
It is aimed for the student to be able to define concepts such as faith, belief, religious doubt and religious denial, to comprehend the structure and nature of religious belief, its psychological background, and to have a good comprehension of the theories of faith development.
Course Content
Course contents, definition of faith and belief, characteristics of faith, psychological structure and nature of faith, psychological sources of faith, psychological effects of faith, faith development, Fowler's theory of faith development, stages of faith, other faith development theories, belief and doubt, types of religious doubt, religious indifference, religious denial/non-belief, and anti-religion and motives leading to disbelief.
