Course Objective Having the skills of recognizing, understanding and interpreting folk beliefs and practices, also known as popular beliefs, which preserve their existence with the understanding of religion, have a meaning in the life of the people.
Course Content Concepts such as belief, folk belief, official religion, folk religion, the relationship between them. The reasons for the continuation of folk beliefs and practices. Beliefs and behaviors related to human life: those related to birth, child related those related to marriage those related to death. Magic and Magical Operations, Types of magic, black magic. Written Magic, Evil Eye and Evil Eyes. Beliefs about Fire, Mountain, Tree, Veli cult (Saints, tombs), Visits and Visiting places and General Evaluation.
