Course Objective The aim of this course is to contribute to the training of postgraduate students as independent researchers who act in accordance with the principles of scientific ethics by providing them with the basic knowledge and skills related to the philosophical and theoretical foundations and application processes of the scientific research process.
Course Content Scientific writing and ethical writing principles; science and the nature of science, philosophy of science, paradigms in scientific research; types of scientific research; scientific research models and techniques; quantitative research approach and designs, data collection techniques in quantitative research, data organization in quantitative research, basic data analysis and presentation of findings, research proposal preparation
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Discusses the purpose and functions of scientific effort.
2Explain the philosophical approaches and paradigms in the background of the scientific research process.
3Explain the basic principles of the scientific process.
4Compares research models in quantitative research approach.
5Defines a quantitative research problem.
6Selects and applies the appropriate method (research design, data collection and analysis techniques) to answer the research problem.
7Writes a research report in accordance with the quantitative research approach.
8Conducts studies in accordance with scientific writing and ethical principles in graduate education studies.
