Course Objective
Give an information about general characteristics of nucleic acids, DNA and RNA molecules, and functions relate to each other, the role of genetic material for packaging of histone proteins, DNA replication, transcription and protein synthesis in the mechanism, structural features of the genome, mutations in the DNA repair mechanism of the formation mechanisms and the methods used in the field of molecular biology.
Course Content
The course will provide information on general characteristics of nucleic acids, genetic material packaging and chromosome organization, DNA synthesis, RNA synthesis and modifications, protein synthesis and modification, the structural features of the genome, mutation types and characteristics, DNA repair mechanisms, control mechanisms in prokaryotic and eukaryotic, isolation and analysing of DNA and RNA, DNA sequence analysis, PCR and DNA fingerprint techniques.
