COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Master's Degree
Course Type Elective
Course Objective Tissue engineering is an interdisciplinary field in rapidly progressing biomedical research, and the combination of life sciences, engineering and material sciences enables the creation of methods, tools and artificial bionic structures that can fulfill the functions of diseased or damaged tissues and organs. It is important to develop tissue engineering technology in country conditions due to the fact that it is a patient-specific technology and the difficulties created by the geographical conditions in the application of this technology. The main purpose of the course is to conduct research and clinical applications in this field and to transfer the experiences at the graduate level to the young scientists of the future.
Course Content In this course, it is aimed to provide education in stem cell biology, biomaterials and tissue / organ engineering branches. It is to provide students with a balanced ratio of theoretical and practical information, and to provide the first step in training researchers on this subject.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1It enables different disciplines such as tissue engineering, medicine, biology and engineering (Medical Basic Sciences, Clinical Sciences, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Design) to work towards a common goal. In this course, it is aimed that the students will do research on tissue and organ production, artificial organ and tissue development, and new treatment methods by using stem cell properties.
