Course Objective Basic information about the physiological mechanisms of pain, the role of acute and chronic pain in different diseases, pain assessment methods, treatment approaches and strategies used to cope with acute and chronic pain will be examined.
Course Content The mechanism and classification of pain, methods of coping with pain, physiotherapy evaluations of painful patients, evidence-based treatment practices, education of patients and their relatives, the role of the physiotherapist in multidisciplinary approaches.
