Course Objective The aim of this course is to explain the concept and function of leadership in sports, to develop leadership characteristics by learning leadership approaches, to examine leadership approaches in terms of sports sciences and to evaluate applications, to discuss their managerial effects and to examine scientific research on leadership.
Course Content Definitions of leadership, reasons for needing leadership, difference between leadership and management, history of leadership research, leadership approaches; traits approach, behavioral approaches, situational approaches, modern leadership approaches.
