Course Objective
The goal of this course is to analyze the nature and basic institutions of politics, political processes and to apply some basic concepts such as state, power, authority, legitimacy, class, elections, voting behavior into concrete political institutions and processes.
Course Content
Political science and positivism, definition of political science, the relations among political science and other social sciences, power, legitimacy, sovereignty, state, political participation, types of participation and political behavior, political parties, bureaucracy, pressure groups-public opinion, elections and techniques of elections.
