Introduction to tribology and importance in engineering, tribology surface shape, roughness analysis and measurement techniques, Formation of fluid film bearings, thermal and elastic effects generalized Reynolds equation, (THD) Thermo-hydrodynamic (EHD) Elasto Hydrodynamic, solution methods, hydrodynamic and hydrostatic bearings, implementation of hydrodynamic instability, theories of friction and wear, friction and wear types, classification, working in dry and semi-liquid friction bearings, lubricants and lubrication technology, friction and wear measurement methods, friction and wear tests, friction and wear data bank
