Course Objective The objective of this course is to introduce the concepts related to industrial engineering and help students to integrate themselves to the program of IE.
Course Content General concept of engineering. What is Industrial Engineering (IE)? How to become an IE? The roles of an IE; The responsibilities of an industrial engineer; concept of system, the concept of optimization, basic problem solving techniques, basics of project management, quality management, an overview of resource management, human resource management, work study, work analysis, ergonomics, work safety, location and layout analysis, materials management, basic concepts related to production planning, stock control and capacity planning, decision making principles and new sights for IE.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
