Course Objective The goal of the course is to explain aggregate variables such as total production and its components, inflation, unemployment, budget, balance of trade, exchange rate, economic fluctuation, and is to provide students with the modern macroeconomics theory and tools to lead student to model and analyze the relationships among macroeconomic variables and policies.
Course Content The course includes gross domestic income , national income, the relationship between money and inflation, unemployment, open economics and the effects of policies in a open economics, economic fluctuations, aggregate demand, the IS-LM model, The Mundell–Fleming Model and the Exchange-Rate Regimes

2Explain macroeconomic concepts and the relationships among them
3Explain relationships among macroeconomic variables such as gross domestic product, unemployment, inflation, recession and expansion, budget deficit, interest rate, export and import, trade balance, economic fluctuations
4Construct macroeconomic models and use these models to analyse the effects of macroeconomic policies on the macroeconomic variables.
5Explain the effects monetary and fiscal policy in the short and long run on the macroeconomic variables
6Evaluate and foresee the outcome of monetary and fiscal policy
7Explain what determines exchange rates
8Express how the interest rate is determined and changed in the economy in a open and closed economies
9Use an aggregate demand and aggregate supply macroeconomic model to interpret the effect of economic shocks on inflation and output.
