COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Level	Associate's Degree

Course Objective	Health Psychology covers many interventions to improve the quality of life of patients and their relatives during the treatment period and to facilitate coping with the disease. In this lesson, it is aimed that the students know themselves, the patients and their relatives, understand and use the correct communication techniques.
Course Content	Health psychology and fields of study, interpersonal communication, basic terms and phenomena related to psychology, psychological approach to pediatric and geriatric patients, emotion control, approach to individuals with mood disorders and approach, schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders and approach, burnout syndrome for healthcare workers coping skills.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Have knowledge about basic terms and theories of health psychology.
2	Learns the interests of health psychology.
