Course Objective
It is aimed to introduce various dosimeter devices that measure radiation dose in radiology units, and to present the technical features and functions of each separately and comparatively. It is aimed to apply numerical problem solving and calculation methods related to irradiation dose, absorbed dose, equivalent dose depending on the type of radiation and effective dose showing biological activity.
Course Content
Radiation dosimeter definition, dosimeter types, working principles and technical features, emphasizing their importance in radiology, dose calibrators working principle, technical features and importance, radiation detector systems, working principles and technical features in BT systems, radiation dose types and numerical dose calculation problems
