Course Objective
The student's understanding of urogenital system diseases in the field of nephrology is to gain knowledge and skills about the formation of chronic kidney disease in adults and children, the symptoms of the disease, diagnosis and treatment methods, prognosis and complications.
Course Content
Anatomy and physiology of the kidney, the formation of acute and chronic kidney diseases and diagnostic parameters, etiopathogenesis and conservative treatments in chronic renal failure, the development and treatment of hypertension, anemia in renal failure and the criteria for using Epo-Venofer, glomerular diseases of the kidney, fluid-electrolyte disorders, renal osteodystrophy, diabetic nephropathy diseases and treatment methods, nutrition in acute and chronic renal failure, renal replacement treatment methods, an overview of kidney transplantation treatments, indications-contraindications, status of kidney transplantation treatments in Turkey.
