Course Objective To teach to preperation of solutions, quality control concepts, the laboratory test profiles for various disease states and routine biochemical test methods.
Course Content preperation of solutions, quality control concepts, Obtaining, transporting and storing of biological materials such as blood, urine and cerebrospinal fluid- Processing of blood into serum, plasma or whole blood- Centrifugation of biplogical materials- Physical, chemical and microscopic analysis of urine- Introduction to certain laboratory test profiles for various disease states- Routine biochemical parameters and profiles- Routine biochemical test methods- Immunometric tests and profiles- Hemogram parameters- Blood gases- Emergency laboratory tests.
