Course Objective	It teaches the general knowledge of medical documents, ınformation systems, health data sources in turkey, data collection, data processing methods, health setting administration practices and used forms.
Course Content	The importance and definition of filing, Basic concepts of documentation and information, the management of filing and archiving services, filing systems, characteristics of an effective filing system, documents worth filing, stages of filing, general knowledge of medical documents, patient files knowledge and law situations, data and ınformation, management sciences and ınformation, system concept and characteristics, ınformation systems, health data sources in turkey, data collection, data processing methods and construction of ınformation systems, health information systems in turkey, ınternational coding of diseases and cause of deaths, health setting administration practices and used forms.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.

1	Recognizes and applies the filing systems implemented in healthcare institutions
2	Have knowledge and skills in preparing patient files, preparing documents, storing them and re-implementing them when necessary.

4	Gains skills in data collection, data entry and reporting for any research.
5	Learns legal responsibilities in the filing process.
