Course Objective The aim of this course is to recognition of basic circuit elements and semiconductor elements that used in electronic field, to gain the skills of measuring and using, to gain the ability of using diode and transistors in DC and AC circuits
Course Content 1. Atom, covalent bond, valence electron, classification of matter and semiconductor notions 2. P-type and n-type semiconductors, current-voltage characteristics of biased and unbiased p-n junctions 3. Examination of diode characteristics 4. Zener diode characteristics, voltage stabilization with zener diode 5. Clipping circuit 6. Clamping circuits 7. Half and full wave rectifiers 8. Midterm Exams 9. Bipolar Transistors (BJT) 10. Input and output characteristics of BJT Transistors 11. BJT Circuit analysis 12. Field Effect Transistors (FET) 13. Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistors (MOSFET) 14. Characteristics of FET and MOSFET Transistors
