Course Objective Learn the basic features of the basic material for the production of wood furniture.
Course Content The definition and properties of wood, wood anatomy and structure, microscopic structure of coniferous and broadleaved species, coniferous and broadleaved species, macroscopic structure, physical properties of wood material, wood material and chemical properties, mechanical properties of wood material.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1-To grasp the basic knowledge on the formation and structure of the tree.
2-To know the cellular structure of wood and tissue.
3-To know the microscopic structure of the needle and broad-leaved trees
4-Having information about the macroscopic structure of wood.
5-Grasp of wood defects
6-Grasp of the chemical structure of wood.
7-Wood-water relationship in the physical properties of wood material and hygroscopic equilibrium grasp.
8-The physical properties of wood material, size, diameter, and the environment to understand the operation and expansion-contraction.
9-The physical properties of wood material, thermal, electrical and acoustic properties to grasp.
10-Elastic property of wood material to learn.
11-Grasp of the mechanical properties of wood.
