Course Objective To learning the importance of ergonomics in furniture design and interior decoration.
Course Content Definition and scope; Elements of ergonomics; anthropometry; Sitting anthropometry; Anthropometric measures; Anthropometry in space design; Anthropometry in hardware-furniture design; Hardware-furniture design for special consumer groups (children, elderly, handicapped); Kitchen, social spaces and resting area furniture design and anthropometric measure relation.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To know the elements of ergonomics.
2To know the concepts of anthropometry, sitting anthropometry, anthropometric measures, anthropometry in space design.
3To know the relation of hardware-furniture design for special consumer groups (children, elderly, handicapped).
4To knows the relationship between design of kitchens, social living spaces and resting area furniture and anthropometric measures.
