Course Objective The aim of the new media art course is to first reveal what new media technologies are and to explain the features of new communication technologies. Identifying the new environments brought by new communication technologies to communication, comprehending the formations that occurred during the transition from traditional media to new media, both theoretical differences and changes in technological infrastructure.
Course Content Definitions of New Media; New Media and Traditional Media Relation; Brief history and characteristics of new media; Communication theories developed about new media technologies; Definitions of New Media and New Approaches in Advertising; Reinforcing the relations between New Media and Digital Art through the marketing of new media technologies with graphic design applications.
