The requirement for physical therapy and rehabilitation for diseases such as orthopedic injuries and disabilities,disorders of locomotor system, dysfunction and pain originating from various diseases is increasing. Application of the therapy by qualified allied health personnel plays an important role in the success of therapy. The aim of the physiotherapy program is education of students in becoming qualified allied health personnel for the application of physical therapy. Physiotherapy technicians are in charge of application of physical therapeutic agents in patients who have been evaluated and offered a physical therapy program by a physiatrist in all institutions providing PMR services. Education for the students is 2 years. The student graduated from this program can be employed in PMR units of official and private health institutions, rehabilitation services, thermal spring and spa centers, private clinics, sports clubs, resorts for health tourism, hydrotherapy units and nursing homes.

The aim of the program is to train health personnel equipped with necessary knowledge and skills needed in carrying out physical therapy procedures in physical therapy units, private clinics and health institutions.
