3451 GYNECOLOGY AND OBSTETRICS NURSING PHD

GENERAL INFORMATION
Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing Doctorate Program was opened on 31.08.2022. The language of education is Turkish. In the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing, students are tried to gain not only theoretical and applied knowledge, but also the necessary equipment to be a good scientist. Experts brought to the field with the Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing Doctorate Program will play an important role in increasing awareness of women's health-diseases and obstetrics, and in planning appropriate care and interventions.

Objective
It is aimed to enable the student to specialize in the subjects related to Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing at an advanced level, to reflect the acquired philosophical perspective on nursing care and education, and to gain the ability to reach new syntheses by conducting independent and original research in line with a scientific and ethical understanding as a professional.


Admission Requirements
It is required to have a master's degree with thesis in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing and fulfill the Pamukkale University Health Sciences Institute Graduate Education Application Requirements.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the program, the student must take compulsory and elective courses to complete the 120 ECTS credit load, complete the PhD thesis with a 120 ECTS credit load, and prepare the thesis and present it successfully in front of the jury.

Career Opportunties
Successful students who have completed at least one semester of the graduate program in another Nursing Department within the university or in the Nursing Department of another higher education institution can be admitted to the graduate programs through horizontal transfer. Admission conditions through lateral transfer are determined by the Senate.

4Be aware of ethical and legal issues specific to the field of women's health and contribute to and lead the solution of ethical problems.
5Follows the evidence-based practices specific to the field of women's health and nursing care and conducts research that will create evidence in their own field related to professional practices.
6Conducts research using models and theories for the solution of problems specific to the field of women's health.
7Selects, applies and correctly interprets, analyzes and synthesizes statistical methods in accordance with the principles of publication ethics in scientific research conducted in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing.
8Presents its research and projects on women's health at national/international scientific meetings and publishes it in journals specific to its field.
9Follows the current developments and technologies in the field of women's health and nursing and leads the way to use the developments for the benefit of society.
10Takes a role and leads in all activities aimed at ensuring gender equality and preventing all forms of discrimination against women.
