3211 SURGICAL NURSING

GENERAL INFORMATION
Department of Surgical Diseases Nursing started in 2022. The language of education is Turkish. The minimum amount of credits required in the Department of Surgical Diseases Nursing is 60 ECTS. Those who successfully complete the courses must conduct a thesis under the supervision of the thesis advisor and defend it in front of a jury.

Objective
The aim of this program is to train science experts who have professional nursing awareness, who are sensitive to the health problems and care needs of individuals, families, and society at the national and international levels, and who can access and evaluate information about the basic issues specific to the field of Surgical Nursing and the concepts, principles, and methods on which they are based, who can conduct scientific research, who can transfer the knowledge and skills gained to the field of practice and Surgical Nursing teaching, and who can use teaching principles and methods.


Admission Requirements
Having a bachelor's degree from the School of Health, School of Nursing, and Department of Nursing of Faculty of Health Sciences, Faculty of Nursing is the acceptance condition of the program. At least 55 points from the Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam; certificate of English proficiency.

Graduation Requirements
The student must have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.00/4.00 and complete the required course load (at least 60 ECTS and eight courses); must successfully present a research seminar and successfully prepare and defend a thesis.
