3343 HISTOLOGY AND EMBRIOLOGY PhD

GENERAL INFORMATION
Histology and Embryology Doctor's Degree programme (with thesis): The aims of the program:To train students who has got education in human histology and embryology and who has got experience in histological and embryological methods, general and specific laboratory applications and multidisciplinary studies. The students who has completed at least 30 AKTS credits and who has prepared graduation thesis and passed the scientific exam gain the right of graduation for “Histology and Embryology Sicence Expert”. Main research areas: -sophisticatedHistology and Embryology -Biology of Organels -Extracellular matrix -Molecular biology of cell and tissue -Immun system -Tecniques of electromicroscopy -Teraogens -Embryology of nerveus system and its anomalies -Molecular embryology of endocrine system -Development of cartilage and bone tissues -Histochemical and immunohistochemical tecniques -Molucular embryology -Basic tissues -Embryology and histology of blood tissues and heamapoiesis -Stereology -Assisted reproductive tecniques -Molecular development of circulatory system -Stem cells tecniques -Neurobiology -Skin and integument -Criopreservation at reproduction biology -Development of digestive system and its anolaies -Development of head and neck

Objective
The aims of the programme: To train students who has got education in human histology and embryology and who has got experience in histological and embryological methods, general and specific laboratory applications and multidisciplinary studies.


Admission Requirements
First cycle degree, acceptable score on centralized graduate entrance exam, placement through local oral/written exam and certificate of English proficiency

Recognition of Prior Learning
A successful student who has completed at least one semester in another institution / department of the university or another post-graduate program of another higher education institution may be admitted to the post-graduate programs by horizontal transfer. The conditions for acceptance by horizontal transfer are determined by the Senate.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
All candidates have to complete at least 24 local credits (180 ECTS)with PhD thesis.

Access to Further Studies
A student graduated with a good PhD Degree may carry on an academic carrier as a lecturer or post doctorate researcher.
