3746 LABOUR ECONOMICS AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS PhD

GENERAL INFORMATION
The purpose of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations Phd Program is, training experts who gained abilities of accessing information, evaluation, synthesis, interpretation and reporting by means of conducting independent academic research in the light of theoretic and practical phd courses, in the field of labor relations.These capabilities are expected to reflect on his/her career as labour economics and industrial relations phd.

Objective
In accordance with the multi-disciplinary structure of the department,ensure that program graduates have the academic infrastructure and train the proffesional workforce for public and private sectors. Educating individuals who can produce multi-dimensional and analytical solutions concerning cases and situations in labour market and in collaboration with other disciplines such as social policy, economics, law, business, psychology, sociology and statistics. Training experts, specialized on social policy, social security, working relationships of individual and collective level (government-employer-employee and non-governmental organizations), trade unions, social dialogue, employment and unemployment, wages, productivity, human resources management, occupational health and safety and social rights issues to serve in public and private sector institutions, European Union and the International Labour Organisation. Gaining the behavior of life-long learning and ability of creating theoretical and practical solutions for global and national levels in the field of labor relations. Training individuals acquiring expertise knowledge who can contribute in working and social life with their ability, creativity and skills. Ensuring that the graduates can transform their analysis on cases and results and solution proposals, to scientific literature with their academic point of view and analytic thought. Developing strategy, policy and implementation plans concerning labour market and social policy issues and being capable of evaluating and monitoring the results obtained. Doing empirical and theoretical studies including detailed analysis of labor market, both at the provincial and regional level and in country level as well. Making human resources planning both at micro and macro level. Working in a team and being capable of expressing him/herself verbally and in writing correctly.


Admission Requirements
Ales score not less than 65 points, including the type of the referenced programs. - After completing his master's degree doctorate / art proficiency training to be adequate in the event of a break up to one semester of the current note from the applicant, re-ALES is not required. -Adam Enough of the language to be considered YDS / YOKDIL or validity of the Interuniversity Council adopted the equivalent language tests are required to have at least 55 points.

Graduation Requirements
A student must complete the required course load (90 ECTS); present two research seminar and defend a thesis.

Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Service, Turkish Employment Agency, privateemployment offices,trade unions,non-governmental organisations, human resources departments of public and private institutions, United Nations and European Union.

Recognition of Prior Learning
A successful student who has completed at least one semester in another institution / department of the university or another post-graduate program of another higher education institution may be admitted to the post-graduate programs by horizontal transfer. The conditions for acceptance by horizontal transfer are determined by the Senate.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations
A student must complete the required course load (90 ECTS); present two research seminar and defend a thesis.

Access to Further Studies
A student graduated with a good PhD Degree may carry on an academic carrier as a lecturer or post doctorate researcher.
