2403 LABOUR ECONOMICS AND INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (Evening

GENERAL INFORMATION
The purpose of Labour Economics and Industrial Relations Non-Thesis Graduate Program is training experts who gained abilities of accessing information, evaluation, synthesis, interpretation and reporting by means of conducting independent academic research in the light of theoretic and practical MA courses, in the field of labour relations. These capabilities are expected to reflect on his/her career as labour economics and industrial relations science expert.

Objective
In accordance with the multi-disciplinary structure of the department, to ensure that the graduates of the program have an academic background, to train the workforce for the professions they can work in the public and private sectors; To train experts on social policy, social security, individual and collective labour relations, union, social dialogue, employment and unemployment, wages, productivity, human resources management, occupational health and safety, etc. who can work in public and private sectors, and in organizations such as the European Union and the International Labour Organization; To provide the graduates with the ability to find solutions to the problems experienced in the field of labour relations, both in theory and in practice, at a universal and national level.

Have a bachelor's degree

Graduation Requirements
A student must complete the required course load (60 ECTS) with a present a research seminar and successfully prepare and defend a project.

Career Opportunties
Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Family and Social Services, Turkish Employment Agency, private employment offices, trade unions, non-governmental organisations, human resources departments of public and private institutions, United Nations and European Union.

Recognition of Prior Learning
Recognition of previous structured lectures in Turkish Higher Education Institutions, transitions in vertical, horizontal and university are realized within the scope of the "Higher Education Regulations", "REGULATION BETWEEN THE BACHELORS AND GRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS, ON HIGHER EDUCATION AND TRANSITION BETWEEN DOUBLE MAJOR DALL, SIDE DALL AND CREDIT TRANSFER STANDARDS

1Having theoritical information and ability to analyse working life with economic, social, psychological and legal dimensions and interpreting empirical results in the light of theoretical knowledge.
2Using specialized theoretical and practical information in his/her professional life.
3Identifying basic problems on labour relations, developing modelling and solving skills. Creating projects concerning these problems, participating in or conducting these projects.
4Addressing the problems encountered in the field of labour relations using the methods of scientific research.
5Acquiring scientific perspective by gaining research skills;thinking analytically, creating solutions based on facts, evidences and research results.
6By interpreting current developments in the light of qualitative and quantitative data, presenting the results in written, verbal and visual ways systematically.
7Creating projects regarding to the problems, being a coordinator and taking the responsibility as a participant.
8Having the ability of developing the application plans, strategy and politics about labor markets and social policy and monitoring and evaluating the obtained results.
9Revealing the detailed analyzes of empirical and theoretical studies about labor markets both in the provincial and regional level.
10Planning and applying the micro and macro level of human resource planning.
11Being capable of working in a team, expressing himself verbally and in writing correctly.
12Being capable of professional ethics and sense of responsibility.
13Having information about the conflicts of business and social security law and solutions.
