745 LABORATORY AND VETERINARY ART

GENERAL INFORMATION
Pamukkale University, Acıpayam Vocational School of Laboratory & Veterinary Health Program started training in 2013-2014 academic year. It is subject to 120 ECTS credits first stage degree system in veterinary field in higher education. When the program is successfully completed and program qualifications are provided, the Associate Degree in the field of Laborant and Veterinary Medicine is granted.

Objective
To train qualified individuals who have the necessary knowledge and equipment in the field of veterinary medicine in private enterprises or public institutions and organisations and who can adapt to innovations.


Admission Requirements
The admission of students to the Laboratory & Veterinary Health Program is carried out in line with the students who attend the Higher Education Institutions Exam (YKS) conducted by ÖSYM every year, obtaining sufficient points from the TYT score type and choosing them. In addition, in case of student application with Inter-institutional Transfer, Central Transfer, the student is accepted according to the result of whether the application complies with the relevant regulation article and procedure.

Graduation Requirements
A student can graduate provided that he/she completes at least 2.25 academic average, 120 ECTS and Vocational Training in Workplace (IME).

Career Opportunties
Graduates can work in veterinary clinics or animal hospitals in the public or private sector.

Recognition of Prior Learning
For students who want to transfer from higher education institutions in Türkiye to Pamukkale University, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" are applied.The common compulsory foreign language courses exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester on the date specified in the academic calendar. No make-up exam is allowed for this exam. Faculty-vocational school students who do not have a preparatory program take the joint compulsory foreign language exemption exam.Students are placed in one of the beginner, intermediate-lower level or intermediate level groups according to the scores they get in this exam, or those who have proficiency points are exempted from preparatory education. The score ranges of these groups are determined by the School Directorate. Exam results are announced in relevant places and on the website of the School of Foreign Languages. Among the students who are enrolled in the departments/programs accepted to the compulsory preparatory education, those who do not take the level determination and proficiency exam start their education at the beginning level.

Access to Further Studies
Students who successfully complete the program can transfer to "Emergency Aid and Disaster Management, Biology, Biotechnology, Animal Production and Technologies, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Health Management, Agricultural Biotechnology, Veterinary, Animal Husbandry" undergraduate programs with Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).

DebateDepending on the situation, debate is a tool that allows all students, or a specific portion of the class to participate in the lesson. In this method, members of the group discuss a topic by addressing the various points of view and discuss alternative opinions about problem-solving.
DemonstrationIn this method the teacher demonstrates, an experiment, test, in front of the class. And then assists students to do so too. Students learn not only by just by looking and watching, but also by taking part and participating. This method is usually applied when teaching skills.
