505 ACCOUNTING AND TAX APPLICATIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION
Pamukkale University Buldan Vocational School of Accounting Program is a 2-year-program and the language of education is in Turkish. The program has been prepared according to the criteria that the target sectors request. The aim of the program is to raise students who can comprehend the applications, needs and new technologies in targeted sectors and who will be effective in these sectors and who have analytical and problem solving skills. Computer usage which bears a great importance in raising students of the information age is one of the main factors of our university. On-the-job-training is also of great importance in the program, internships are made available for our students by sector-university co operations. The capacity of the department will be increase, and the number of students enrolled has reached 300 since the 2008-2009 school term.

Objective
The aim of this program is to train specialized accounting personnel for local or international companies. Students are educated to work as accountants. After graduation, they can use computers for accounting and tax applications and can manage accounting departments of companies.


Admission Requirements
In order to enter the Accounting and Taxation program, it is necessary to graduate at least high school or balanced school and to get enough points from the Higher Education Transfer Examination Exam.

Graduation Requirements
Students are required to successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum with no failing grades, including compulsory internship trainings and summer practices, and have a minimum CGPA requirement as stated in Pamukkale University’s associate program guide.

Career Opportunties
Students who graduate from this Program can start work in accounting and tax practices, in accounting and financial consulting offices, in relevant departments of foreign trade and financial institutions, in commercial enterprises, in accounting services and in the relevant sections of financial affairs of organizations. And in accounting offices, accounting departments of businesses, and especially in tax authorities working in various units of the Ministry of Finance. In addition, graduates can start work in banks, insurance companies and tourism, in construction and in industrial businesses. The program has seen increasing popularity, since the rise for the need of qualified workers in the market and therefore the majority of students who graduate find a job on the market.

Access to Further Studies
Without examination the graduates of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty have the right to migrate 3.sınıfına. In addition, DGS, if they are successful in the graduate program of formal education there are opportunities to continue.
