371 ACCOUNTING AND TAX APPLICATIONS

GENERAL INFORMATION
To train and educate persons who could assume responsibility in accounting programs and accounting in a branch.

Objective
The aim of this program is to train specialized accounting personnel for local or international companies. Students are educated to work as accountants. After graduation, they can use computers for accounting and tax applications and can manage accounting departments of companies.


Admission Requirements
Current vocational and technical secondary-education institutions and vocational higher education students who pass the university entrance examination organized by the Student Selection and Placement (ÖSYM), and who have the acquired documents and proof can be accepted to our university.

Graduation Requirements
Students are required to successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum with no failing grades, including compulsory internship trainings and summer practices, and have a minimum CGPA requirement as stated in Pamukkale University’s associate program guide.

Career Opportunties
Students, who graduate from the program, can become both employees and entrepreneurs. Students who graduate within the framework of their own interests can specialize in the field of accounting and tax work. In recent years, most banks have selected employees from educational and research institutions.

Access to Further Studies
Without examination the graduates of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty have the right to migrate 3.sınıfına. In addition, DGS, if they are successful in the graduate program of formal education there are opportunities to continue.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students learn to understand the basic principles of accounting and tax functions and become capable of implementing them.
2Students learn to understand relevant legislations and developments in their fields and become capable of implementing them.
3Students gain the ability to use at least one packet program used in accounting and tax practices.
4Students gain the basic knowledge and skills that will enable them to work in accounting departments of enterprises.
5Students plan and systemize work on issues related to their field, as individuals or in a group and gain the ability to develop and carry out a research.
6 Students learn to used, to recognize, to regulate, documents in business, and become capable of storing and transferring this theory into practice.
7 Students learn about accounting and tax legislations within the framework of basic principles and standards required by their profession and gain responsibility and ethical rules.
8Students learn about process and workflow of different institutions related to their field.
9Students learn to relate to the applications and requirements, and learn to understand innovations and how to face problems that may arise during their working life. They also gain the ability to think analytically and solve problems.
10Students learn how to be initiative, to become self-confidence in their field, to be creative, and to be able to carry out a written and oral presentation.
11Students gain a foreign language and knowledge about it.
12Students learn to become aware of the need for lifelong learning; and to follow developments in science and technology.
13Students become conscious about Atatürk’s principles, and gain knowledge about Revolution history.
