375 FOREIGN TRADE

GENERAL INFORMATION
Economics, law, accounting, foreign trade subjects are thought in this program. There are application activities and theoretical lesson in the program. The education period is four semesters.

Objective
This program aims to contribute to the education and training of professionals in order to supply an intermediate work force for the sectors which are interested in foreign trade, considering the needs and the characteristics of them. Graduates of this program have a chance to be employed by public and private sector corporations in their Export and Import departments and at Foreign Exchange Departments of financial institutions, such as Banks. Graduates can also act as individual entrepreneurs by e- trading.


Admission Requirements
To have high school certificate and get enough points from a university entrance exam (OSYM).

Graduation Requirements
Students are required to successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum with no failing grades, including compulsory internship trainings and summer practices, and have a minimum CGPA requirement as stated in Pamukkale University’s associate program guide.

Career Opportunties
Graduate can start work at export-import departments in the private sector, at a trade branch which is necessary foreign trade in public sector, in custom and custom brokerage, at banks in the foreign exchange department, at logistics firms and can create job possibilities by e-trade.

Access to Further Studies
Without examination the graduates of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty have the right to migrate 3.sınıfına. In addition, DGS, if they are successful in the graduate program of formal education there are opportunities to continue.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Students gain the knowledge about Foreign Trade, learn to dominate fundamental concepts and gain the skills to manage the knowledge, they also gain the ability recognize and prepare documents.
2Students gain knowledge about customs, export and import, regulations and incentives, how to solve all problems in operation and also to manage all process to do with export -import business.
3Students learn how to clearly explain about project and implementation concerning foreign trade to colleagues and superiors.
4 Students use active information technology and complete an investigation.
5Students gain skills that enable them to work individually and efficiently with different disciplines and learn to bear responsibility, and become conscious about ethic and vocational work.
6Students gain a foreign language and knowledge at a level that is enough for their occupation.
7Students become conscious about Atatürk’s principles, and gain knowledge about Revolution history.
8Students become conscious of life time learning and follow developments concerning technology and science.
9Students become conscious about project management, office implementations, the environment and occupational safety, the health of workers and make a conclusion about the law, in all banking and insurance operations.
10 Students gain the knowledge about the universal and social effects of foreign trade transactions and implications, and become aware of entrepreneurship and innovation and also problems of the era.
11Students learn to link theoretical information with implementation.
12Students learn how to be initiative, to become self-confidence in their field, to be creative, and to be able to carry out a written and oral presentation.
TEACHING & LEARNING METHODS

DebateDepending on the situation, debate is a tool that allows all students, or a specific portion of the class to participate in the lesson. In this method, members of the group discuss a topic by addressing the various points of view and discuss alternative opinions about problem-solving.
DemonstrationIn this method the teacher demonstrates, an experiment, test, in front of the class. And then assists students to do so too. Students learn not only by just by looking and watching, but also by taking part and participating. This method is usually applied when teaching skills.
