GENERAL INFORMATION
To determine the goods and services wanted and needed by the consumers, to introduce these goods and services to the consumers, to provide information to the consumers about these goods and services.

Objective
The main objective of the marketing program is to meet the needs of marketing and sales departments of public and private sector enterprises. As a result of training in this program students will have the basic qualifications of product, price, distribution, branding, target market analysis, marketing research, advertisement and international marketing.


Admission Requirements
Students who have both a high-school certificate and enough points from a university entrance exam may study in this department.

Graduation Requirements
Students are required to successfully complete all compulsory and elective courses in the curriculum with no failing grades, including compulsory internship trainings and summer practices, and have a minimum CGPA requirement as stated in Pamukkale University’s associate program guide.

Career Opportunties
Graduates of the program may work at; National and Inter-national corporations’ marketing departments. They can be employed in the management of marketing and marketing activities like advertisement, selling, and public relations. When they fulfill bachelor’s degree in the business department, they may work as top-level managers at companies.

Recognition of Prior Learning
For students who want to transfer from higher education institutions in Turkey to Pamukkale University, the provisions of the "Regulation on the Principles of Transfer between Associate Degree and Undergraduate Degree Programs in Higher Education Institutions, Double Major, Minor and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer" are applied. The common compulsory foreign language courses exemption exam is held at the beginning of the fall semester on the date specified in the academic calendar. No excuses are given for this exam. Students of faculties/vocational schools/schools who do not have a preparatory program take the joint compulsory foreign language exemption exam. Students who will take the exemption exam apply to the relevant unit within the period specified in the academic calendar.

Access to Further Studies
Without examination the graduates of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty have the right to migrate 3.sınıfına. In addition, DGS, if they are successful in the graduate program of formal education there are opportunities to continue.

PROGRAM LEARNING OUTCOMES
1 Students define the basic principles and notions about marketing and are shown how companies function in a variety of markets, by using components of marketing-mix towards its targets.
2Students gain the knowledge about consumer behaviors, to understand needs of customers and to serve goods and services to satisfy these needs, by promoting these face to face or with mass media tools. In the light of these cases, students learn about transmitting goods to customers when they want, decide strategies that enable them to have long relations with them, create a positive public opinion about the company with a customer oriented understanding.
3Students learn to control preparations before selling and the implementations after selling, to produce a resolution advisory that premises on scientific data by creating specific selling methods and processes.
4Students gain theoretical knowledge in different disciplines like service marketing, direct marketing, tourism marketing and how to implement this knowledge in business life. They also gain knowledge about different marketing concepts.
5Students gain knowledge about the main numerical analyzing methods and the implementing of these methods in business life, to make use of data collecting techniques for solving a problem and how to make a decision in the light of this.
6Students learn to take initiative and to be creative, to be self confidence, to have efficient communication skills both verbally and written.
7Students learn to comprehend how to plan, organize and how the leadership processes works in management and in marketing.
8Students gain the knowledge about the business environment and economic systems, where the business functions, and learn the skills of working with different disciplines.
9Students consider the main law that creates marketing's legal environment and organizes the legal environment of business.
10Students learn to bound theoretical information with implementation.
11Students gain a foreign language and knowledge at a level that is enough for their occupation.
12Students learn about the main information about computer usage, learn to use internet technologies and office soft wares.
13Students become conscious about Atatürk’s principles, and gain knowledge about Revolution history.
