GENERAL INFORMATION
Pamukkale University English Language Teaching Ph.D Program has started to accept students in the Fall Semester of 2019-2020 Academic Year. In the program, the provisions of Pamukkale University Institute of Educational Sciences Graduate Education and Examination Regulations are applied. The medium of instruction is English. This program consists of three parts: courses, proficiency exam and dissertation defense. Students admitted to the program must take at least 240 ECTS courses and successfully complete them. They are required to pass the doctoral proficiency exam including the oral and written exams. Students who pass the proficiency exam are required to prepare a doctoral thesis under the supervision of a supervisor appointed by the department and be successful in defending the dissertation.
Objective
The Ph.D. program aims to to educate individuals who will work as a researcher and an educator in the departments of English Language Education at universities. The main objective of the program is to provide academicians who are open to innovations and developments that will contribute to teaching English and educating English Language teachers with a researching and critical perspective and acting in accordance with ethical principles.
