GENERAL INFORMATION
Department of Management Information Systems is a department that is intertwined with technology. There are many departments related to management information systems in universities of developed knowledge-based economies around the world. Moreover the existence of such departments is an indicator of the development of countries. In our country, the number of management information systems is very few compared to the number of existing universities. Examples abroad: Department of Management Information Systems, Eller College of Management, The University of Arizona, Arizona, USA. - Department of Management Information Systems, Lee Business School, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, USA. Department of Management Information Systems at College of Business Administration Home, Kent State University, Kent, Ohio, USA The University of Alabama, which is among the top 200 universities in the world ranking in the social sciences (QS World university Rankings) contain management, information systems and quantitative methods (decision making techniques). Similarly, at the University of Illinois (ULC), which is in the top 150, informatics and decision sciences are under a single department. In Saint Louis University, information technology management and decision sciences are combined in the single department. On the other hand, at Carnegie Mellon University, which is among the top 100 universities, there is a faculty called School of Information Systems & Management which contains these disciplines. Although in recent years, demand for people who studied education of Management Information Systems increasing, the number of people with this property are very few in Turkey. Therefore, it is predicted that our graduates have many employment opportunities and their income will be higher than the average income of university graduates.

Objective
The purpose of Pamukkale University Management Information Systems Department undergraduate/graduate programs is to train students who can develop and manage information systems in businesses, solve problems and make decisions professionally, and have business knowledge at a level to manage information economy businesses, and to establish their academic infrastructure.
