GENERAL INFORMATION
The MA Programme of English Language and Literature involves the past and present studies in the field of English language and literature. The works of drama, poetry and novel in English literature are scrutinized from the perspective of a certain critical point of view and are discussed under the light of new perspectives. The graduates of this programme will be able to approach English literature from a critical perspective.

Objective
The purpose of this programme is to have the graduate students acquire skills to form authentic ideas in accordance with scientific rules. The courses in the programme include an advanced theoretical, social, historical and cultural analysis of different types of English literature. For this reason the programme internalizes interdisciplinary approach. Together with English Language and Literature, the program also includes subjects from American Culture and Literature, Comparative Literature, Literary theory and criticism, cultural studies and cultural theories.
