170 ARCHAEOLOGY (Evening Classes)

GENERAL INFORMATION
Despite it was among the first departments of the Science and Arts Faculty, it has been swung into action in December 1997 as Archaeology and Art History Department. It has been separated as Archaeology Department by the Council of Universities on 08.05.2002. The department has Prehistory, Protohistory and Asia Minor, Classical Archaeology sub-departments. Bachelors, M.A. and PhD. programs are available.

Objective
The aim of the program is to educate the expert archaeologists who will do their best for official departments of Ministry of Culture and Tourism and other ministries. To give professional and scientific ethic for educating young scientists who will reach important successes about their careers in the future, to contribute development of primarily regional archaeology and Turkish archaeology effectively.
