241 CIVIL ENGINEERING

GENERAL INFORMATION
The undergraduate education in Civil Engineering Department is given in the native language, Turkish. In addition a selective English preparatory program is given since 2008-2009 education year. Our students take compulsory and elective courses of totally 240 credits and make summer trainings of 60 working days to gain professional information and ability during their undergraduate educations.

Objective
The objective of the program is to civil engineers who can found an engineering office, can provide engineering services in a non-profit or a profit organization, who can hold leadership and administrative positions (EA1) who can take a role in a team as a field engineer, project manager, or site manager in construction companies (EA2) who can design building, hydraulic, geotechnical, and transportaion structures and can provide consulting services (EA3) who can continue graduate level studies and conduct scientific research (EA4)
