Course Objective To understand the fundamental principles of the theories related to children’s mathematical thinking and learning; to discuss the implications of these theories in mathematics education.
Course Content Classic and modern learning theories in mathematics. Students’ mathematical thinking processes from pre-school to 8th grade. Implications of mathematics education research studies for classroom practices.
