Course Objective
Explain concepts of character and value education, factors that affect characters and values, philosophical and theoretical foundations of character and value education, Understanding principles of implementation of character and value education in educational programs, Examples of activities to prepare for the character and values education.
Course Content
Conceptual framework; Character, personality, value, virtue, moral, temperament, etc; development of character and education, developing and training of character in family, environment, school,; Definition and classification of values, sources of values and individual, social, cultural, religious, moral essentials, character and value education approach and practices, intercultural differentiation and coexistence in character and value education culture, character and value education in terms of education philosophy and goals, character / value training teaching methods and techniques, values and crises in modern and multicultural societies, On the value education from the history of Turkish education and culture examples, values education practices and research in Turkey, role in character and value education teacher as a model.
